This online presentation and discussion covers the science behind a subset of the 2018 Explore Science: Earth & Space toolkit activities. After a brief overview of the showcased activities and associated materials, Laura Peticolas, Ph.D. a space scientist and science educator, will dive deeper into the underlying science concepts and connections to current and future NASA missions. Science connections behind a different set of toolkit activities will continue in The Science Behind - Part 2 online workshop on March 3, 2018 at 2:00 PM Eastern / 11am Pacific.
